Application

(2,3-Epoxypropoxypropyl)methyl dimethoxysilane is mainly used as a silane coupling agent, which can enhance the functionalization of various substrates. Its epoxy group helps in good adhesion of surface atoms, forming a stable polymer structure. 

In addition, it is also used in the development of zwitterionic push-pull chromophores and organo-inorganic hybrid homogeneous films doped with carbazole derivatives, and for surface modification of ITO glass to fix surface atoms, further used for electrochemical detection and labeling‌.

• Improve the dry/wet strength of glass fiber reinforced composites;

• enhance the wet electrical properties of packaging materials for epoxy substrates;

• Polysulfide and polyurethane sealants do not require the use of a separate primer;

• improve the adhesion of water - based acrylic sealants, polyurethane and epoxy resin coatings.
