Silane coupling agents are widely used to treat fillers to improve the compatibility of resin and filler. Fillers and pigments treated by silanes can enjoy good dispersion in the resins, the system’s rheology can be properly controlled and viscosity can be reduced. With silanes, more fillers and pigments can be added to the system, which can improve the mechanical strength and electrical performance of the system, reduce swelling and water vapor penetration, as well as the cost.
