Physical Properties:
At room temperature, Tetraethyl Orthosilicate is a colorless transparent liquid with a special odor or pungent smell.
It is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol and ether, and slightly soluble in benzene.
Siwin-TEOS Tetraethyl Orthosilicate is stable in the absence of water but decomposes into ethanol and silicic acid when exposed to moisture, therefore it becomes turbid in humid air.
It is flammable, and at high concentrations, it can be anesthetic and cause strong irritation to the eyes and respiratory tract.
